About me

Monica Mazzotto, also known as MoMaz, before pursuing her passion of photography, was an ethologist. From the world of scientific research she lands in photography in a completely personal way. The study and deep knowledge on animal behavior, leads her to see and create unique and rare worlds.
Through the digital manipulation of her photographs, she creates abstract realities within colorless and buried walls.
Her passion for animals leads her to see animals around every corner, even the most deserted. Visions in which nature, once humans have left the scene, takes over her uncontested dominion. Abandoned churches, schools, hospitals thus become the natural habitat for bears, lions, and even hummingbirds. All alive in front of her lens. All alive in her photographs.
